Rik Krieger is co-founder of HOPR. He has already successfully led the FinTech company SONECT to the Top 50. After his Bachelor's degree in St. Gallen he started a career in business development at Gate Group International, where he worked for various airlines worldwide. In the following years, he gained extensive strategic experience at various companies. After founding the comedy production company Stand-Up! and completing an Executive Master's degree at the University of Zurich, he is now responsible for all commercial matters at the HOPR Association.
Francesco is an Ethereum engineer and digital entrepreneur who has worked in Switzerland, Sweden, Brazil, South Africa, Kenya and the United States. He has been a mentor at TechStars, Angelhack, Masschallenge, The Hult Prize among several other startup acceleration and incubation programs around the world. He was also a co-founder of a crypto-mining facility in Switzerland based on renewable energy sources. Fransesco has a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering and robotics from ETH Zurich, a Master’s in business from Hult International Business School and a diploma big data from Stanford University.
Alain is a builder and proven domain expert on the national and international crypto and blockchain scene. After studying business at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), he worked for the investment banks UBS and Société Générale and the financial service providers Leonteq Securities and Source ETF. Later he founded various ventures, including TokenSuisse, PolarLab, Lantha Capital and SP-Lab (ACP). Alain is a speaker, involved with universities as a guest lecturer, and has been invited by the OECD for it's Blockchain Forum in Paris, among others.
Matthias Weissl is the CEO and Co-founder of Verum Capital, a leading Web 3.0 venture studio and investor. His other roles include lecturer at the University of St. Gallen & Bocconi University and Working Group member of WEF (Digital Transformation). His background is in strategy consulting and corporate finance working with global corporates in financial services, automotive, Consumer goods as well as for governments. He held positions at PWC, TALOS, and BBDO before founding Verum Capital. He holds a BA in economics from Fort Lewis College (USA) and a MSc in Finance from Leeds Business School (UK).
Adrian is a member of the Strategic Finance Core Unit at MakerDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization that offers overcollateralized crypto lending and issues the Dai dollar-pegged stablecoin. Adrian studied Engineering at EPFL and obtained his MBA at INSEAD. Before MakerDAO he served as a turnaround CEO for a small consumer business and prior to that he worked as an M&A investment banker at Goldman Sachs covering Consumer/Retail and Healthcare. At MakerDAO, he focuses on balance sheet asset-liability management and developing financial reporting standards for cryptobanking.
Having previously worked in user experience for traditional finance, Dominic now leads UX research and strategy for Metamask Institutional. He is responsible for the understanding the key user problems and discovering product opportunities that deliver true value in decentralized finance.
